It’s no secret that I love the fall. I do. I love it all. Don’t get me wrong summer and spring are great, but there is just something so magical about the fall. The leaves, the weather, it’s all so great. It’s almost too much to handle!
As you can see from these three lovely photos of me holding leaves (I have more too, trust me) fall is my favorite. I love playing in the leaves and crunching on them when I walk down the street. Haven’t you ever wanted to jump into a pile of leaves? I have and I’ve done it before. Word of warning, don’t. It’s dirty and gross and there are bugs. Also, you may hurt yourself.
Don’t even get me started on the fall style. You get the best of the best when it comes to style. It’s still warm enough to wear shorts at times, but sweaters and scarves are just along the way. It really is a magical time for clothes. Plus you get to bring out the warm, earthy tones to match the leaves outside!
You know what else is great about fall? The smells and scents. As soon as September hits, I pull out all the fall scented candles and keep them on all season. Or until they run out. I’ve already been through three or four candles this season and I have no shame.
The decor is something else too. All the warm colors and decor come out to play, making a quick appearance before disappearing again. I love to dig out my scarecrows, pumpkins, and fall foliage out of hiding and display them in my house for as long as I can. Seriously, I don’t put them away until the day after Thanksgiving.
And last but certainly not least is the food. Call me basic or whatever you want but I love pumpkin flavored things. This goes back to when I was a kid though too. For as long as I can remember I’ve been eating pumpkin muffins from Panera. My family even called Panera the Muffie Store because that’s what I thought it was called. And because I thought it was the only thing they sold since that’s all I ate there.
So yeah I love fall. Sometimes I wish it would last longer than three months. But then would it be as special if it did? These are the questions that haunt me and something that I would like to get to the bottom of. What do you think? Would you like more fall, or do you like fall as short as it is?
