Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am exactly where this picture was taken, eating turkey (real, not the fake one above) and surrounded by family. I hope you are doing the same! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and one of the most important to me.
Thanksgiving is meant for two things: eating and giving thanks. What couldn’t be better than that? I love to eat and count my blessings so it’s a great day for me. Even better if you’re able to squeeze a nap in.
This year I’m thankful that I am able to be home for this holiday because I didn’t get to come home last year. I am thankful that I’ve gotten to spend as much time with my family this past year as I have. Since moving out I was worried I wouldn’t be able to see them much. But I actually see them more than when I was in college! So I am very thankful for that and that they’ve supported me so much this past year. They have truly made this past year of opportunities possible for me, and for that I am forever thankful.
Now I got lucky because I love my family so much and we always have such a great time during the holidays. But I hope that if you’re not able to be with the ones you love, or if you don’t have many people in your life, that you’re able to still count your blessings.
Everyone has something to be thankful for, big or small, and you can find something. I promise.
Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?
