The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale was last month and it was crazy. I ended up waiting over an hour and a half to get in to the sale, which is the longest I’ve waited in the sale. Usually I’m in and out in half an hour or less. So while I waited I did work instead and I ended up with this oversized cardigan and I’m so glad I did! It was one of the things I wanted to snag from the sale and it worked in my favor.
After I snagged this sweater I was excited to wear it out and about! I wore this bad boy to the Art Institute of Chicago a couple of weeks ago and it was perfect. I’ve never really had a cardigan like this before and I don’t know why I waited so long. I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot lately but it’s true. Also, I haven’t been to the Art Institute since I moved here either. I’ve been many times before but not since I’ve lived here. I guess it’s time to get a membership!
This particular cardigan was part of the sale so it’s no longer available. Yet this sweater is cool because it has little gold threads throughout the weave which was an added bonus. I also liked the color because it’s a great neutral that goes with everything. I decided to keep everything neutral in this outfit to match the gray day and spice it up with my necklace and shoes. You gotta have a little sparkle somewhere!
Going back to the sweater, I love this oversized cardigan look. It’s so cozy for fall and comfy as well. I am on the hunt for a couple more to add to my wardrobe this season. I have some of my favorites linked above, now all you and I have to do is decided which ones to get! Or should we get them all? Decisions, decisions.
