Today marks the official 3 year anniversary of my blog! It’s so crazy that I’ve had this slice of the internet for this long. I remember starting this thing up on Friday night when I had no plans and was watching How to Get Away with Murder. I thought up a name, got a blogspot domain, created a logo (poorly and without Photoshop), and viola! My very own website. A blank slate to create whatever I wanted. So I did.
Now I had a slow and steady uphill climb, much like the little engine that could. I didn’t really post for first few months (go over and lol at my first outfit post.) Clearly I had a lot of ideas but zero know how, so I took my time learning the ins and outs of this whole blogging world. Once I got the swing of things, I started to get better. I bough a DSLR camera, and started to do outfit posts. I waited wayyyy too long to get Photoshop (Lightroom is best) and I switched over to WordPress over a year ago. I’m still trying to get better and improve for you guys the readers, and I have some big hopes and dreams for this site!
Now I took these pictures to share my three year anniversary complete with a brownie from Sugarfixe and a number 3 sparkler. I did have a silver number 3 balloon, actually I had two. I wanted a gold one but I went to not one, but two Party City’s and they did not have a 3 in gold. Apparently gold 3’s are where it’s at, so I settled on a silver 3 with pink ribbon.
The first one my mom let out on accident in the car and she didn’t even notice it flying away. So she went out the next morning to get another one, and brought it back. We were going out to take photos and I forgot my camera battery so I gave the balloon to my mom. As soon as I handed it to her the knot came undone (Party City did not tie it tight enough) so it blew away as well.
Two balloons gone just like that! My mom was upset but I felt bad we spent way too much money on balloons that we didn’t even need to buy! All I wanted was a cliche metallic number balloon to symbolize all my years of hard work! But alas, it was not in the cards for me, so a brownie and number sparkler is what I did. I think it’s better way, actually. More my style, I think. Moral of the story? Avoid balloons and Party City if you can. Trust me.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who’s supported my and this blog for the past three years. From my readers, to friends and family, to everyone I’ve worked with on this blog, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Never in a million years did I think this would stick for that long, that I would make money doing this, or that I would do half the things I thought I would with this. So, thanks for reading, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
