Let’s face it: jean shopping is hard. It takes so much effort and you definitely have to be in the mood to shop for jeans. They’re so specific and 90% of them won’t fit properly. Well it is at least for me, and I’ve had trouble jean shopping since I was young.
So what do we do? How do we find the right pair of jeans? Well luckily for you I went out in search of the best jeans. Or the jeans that fit me the best and I like most. Now I’m not going to say that all these jeans will work for everyone because we all have different taste and body types. What I’m saying is these are the jeans that I like most and I am a picky jeans shopper. Like really picky.
That said here are some of my favorite jeans! I have to say it wasn’t fun trying on pair after pair of jeans, but after LOTS of trial and error, I think I’ve found some that work for me. I hope these will work for you too! Of course I am always open to hearing what jeans you love, so comment below! Now let’s get started.
Madewell – I hadn’t tried any of their jeans on, but everyone kept telling me how great these jeans are. So I went in to test them out for myself. My favorites are the 10″ skinnies, but I also liked the 9″ skinny jeans as well. I tried on some straight leg jeans as well and they were pretty good, but not my favorite. I will say that the 11″ rise jeans were not for me. #shortwaisted
Levi’s – This is probably my favorite place to get jeans. I’ve gotten them periodically throughout my life and I’ve loved them every time. The cuts are great and fit really well. Their straight cut jeans are my favorite, but I have a pair of skinny jeans from them that I love as well. Their skinny jeans have LOTS of stretch so they’re super comfortable!
Banana Republic – I have a few pairs of jeans from here as well, and I really like their denim. Who knew Banana Republic would have good denim, right? Well they do. I have some boyfriend fit jeans and skinny jeans from them. The boyfriend jeans are so great and soft, it’s almost like I’m not wearing jeans! I do size up with their skinny jeans for reference, but the Zero gravity jeans have a lot of stretch.
J.Crew – I had never really tried or worn J.Crew’s jeans, but after going on my “trying on jeans” trip, I actually bought a pair! I got a pair of their straightaway jeans, and they’re really great! I also like their lookout high rise jean as far as skinny jeans go. I know a lot of people like the toothpick jeans, but they just don’t work for me. I also size up in their jeans, because the skinnies are a bit tight and the regular jeans don’t have much stretch.
