I love vintage clothes (check out my “vintage” vintage posts). There’s something so special and great about vintage clothing. From the quality to the cuts/colors to the thrill of the hunt, I love shopping vintage. In fact, I love vintage so much so that I did a post similar to this one two weeks ago. Granted I got that top from my mom but this one also makes me think of her. She actually told me she had a shirt like this at one time so I think it was meant to be!
Now I’d been looking for a shirt like this for a while. J.Crew had a great white one that I thought would be a perfect Audrey Hepburn/Roman Holiday style shirt. But alas, they sold out so I was left to my own devices. So when I went home to my favorite vintage store (my favorite list of St. Louis vintage stores) I was like, “Hey! This is what I’ve been looking for!” Since it’s from the 80s the colored stripes aren’t exactly Roman Holiday, but I don’t care! I decided to pair this shirt with my white jeans and it looks just as good.

And yes I am still wearing white. White after Labor Day is a thing and I can’t wait to bring out these white jeans in January (stay tuned for that!) But this is probably one of my last summery outfits for a while, which does make me sad because I love summer oh so much. However, oh my god you guys fall in Chicago (or any big city, really) is the best! I love walking around my neighborhood on my lunch breaks and breathing in the crisp air and watching the leaves start to change. The weather has been changing and so will the outfits (and hopefully overall look) on this blog! I have a lot of plans for growth before the last leaf falls and the year ends, so stay tuned! Let’s rock this fall together!
What are your plans for improvement for the rest of the year?
